Not many places inspire the kind of loyalty that Cole Harbour Park does. Check out the 'Trail Steward' tab above - you'll be astounded at the statistics!
So far in 2022, volunteers have put in 1,858 hours patrolling trails, guiding, helping and bringing order to their beloved park. Over a full year that's one full-time job plus about 10% overtime - say $40,000 + $6,000 - a nice gift to the community indeed!
Of course that's just the tip of the iceberg. Behind the public face of the CHPTA are hours and hours of organizing, fundraising, grant writing, maintenance and outreach.
The rewards of volunteering are many and the result is a treasure for HRM and beyond.
